Powers of Attorney Fees and Charges
The fees that the NSW Trustee and Guardian (formerly Public Trustee NSW) charges will depend upon the type and level of Power of Attorney provided. All fees quoted include GST. Fees for the various levels of Powers of Attorney provided are outlined below:
Future Assist – because you never know what may happen.
There is no charge to prepare a Powers of Attorney document and hold it in safe custody providing the NSW Trustee and Guardian is appointed sole attorney or appointed attorney in substitution of your spouse, defacto spouse or partner/ person you are living with in a close caring relationship.
We do not charge an ongoing fee for having been appointed as an attorney. Fees only commence when the NSW Trustee and Guardian is required to act in its capacity as attorney and are outlined below.
Where the Future Assist is upgraded to Active Assist, a $550 establishment fee applies.
Funds Assist has no establishment fees.
A tax deductible account management fee of 0.75% per annum of the value of funds held is charged with the minimum fee charged being $750 per annum.
When Funds Assist is upgraded to Active Assist, a $550 establishment fee applies.
Active Assist – tailored to meet your personal and financial needs.
Active Assist has a one-off establishment fee of $550.
A tax deductible account management fee of 1.1% per annum of the value of income producing and investment assets under the NSW Trustee and Guardian’s administration is charged with the minimum fee charged being $1,100 per annum.
A monthly account keeping fee of $11.00 per month is charged.
If additional services are required such as the lodgement of tax returns or real estate inspections, fees are charged on the basis of the service incurred.
